WHAT IS LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY?

It's pretty much what it sounds like. You live your life in your style and we shoot around you. We let you do you and we catch all the beautiful candid moments as you go. This is mostly for family and engagement sessions but we do it with weddings when we aren't being formal, also.
 
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

This is entirely up to you. Although, here are some suggestions :
Check out a Pinterest board with the colors you have in mind, so nobody clashes with anyone else. Also, keep your choice of location in mind. You don't want to blend into the background. For example, if your background is mostly wooded, pastels, whites, or other light colors may work best. Don't wear hunter greens and dark browns as you'll be likely to blend in. 

WHY DON’T YOU RELEASE ALL OF THE PHOTOS YOU TAKE?

There's a lot I could say about this, but honestly, you don't want all of the photos. We overshoot with the intent of capturing the moment in the second that it happens. Sometimes that moment is in a fraction of a second. Think burst mode on your iphone. Nobody really keeps all the burst photos because a lot of them aren't very good. Trust me, we go through a rigorous routine of getting them down to the best and then only edit the best of the best. We've got your best interest at heart. Trust the process.

DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?
 
I absolutely edit my own photos. Some people prefer to send them out as an outsourced editor. I like to keep my finger on the pulse, since my style is pretty unique. I like my clients to get a consistency from what they looked at on my site to what they got in their gallery. If I'm not editing it, I can't guarantee that it will be what I would've done if I had edited them myself.

IS STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY AVAILABLE?

I have a studio I rent from, from time to time, yes. However, I am happy to say that I have begun demolition for a studio and I am currently rehabbing a space. It may be ready by late fall of next year but I cannot be more excited for it and if you join the newsletter, you'll be first to know!

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

Depending on the session or even you've decided upon with us, your photos will be ready anywhere from 3-6 weeks from the date of the event. Sessions are sooner, and, of course, weddings take more time.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

We know that things happen. However, out of respect for both sides of the coin, we ask that you reschedule no less than 48 hours in advance, or 3 business days. Our time is valuable and so is yours. We want to be sure we can fill your slot, should you be unavailable and grant you another in the near future.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

Deposits are taken for all appointments made. Should you need to cancel, and you do so outside of 48 hours, we will reschedule you. If you are not able to reschedule within 14 days of the currently set appointment, we will return your deposit to you.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

Images received is not a set amount per event or session scheduled. However, as outlined on the site, some have more and some have less. The reason for this is the amount of people, amount of work, and amount of editing it takes to provide the service, edit and deliver you the gallery.

WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT I PRINT THROUGH YOU?

Printing through a mass production lab such as a Walgreens, Walmart, Shutterfly or such like will not provide you with the best quality images. Our labs are scientifically improving each and every day on the solutions used when printing, ink and methods for best produced images you can buy. Our labs also specifically provide top-of-the-line large prints such as canvas, so we can provide you with whatever it is that you need.

WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE THE SHOOT?

The time of day is entirely your choice. If you want golden hour, you have to let us know so we can schedule you for the best time, since it is different each and every day. If you just would like a shoot in the daytime, that also varies but a general rule is to stay away from lunch hour just because that's when the sun is typically its harshest.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT?

Ahhh this changes when I go to a new venue almost every other month haha. My absolute favorites though are literally anywhere in Cape May, NJ but there are a few faves I could go over with you, Running Deer in Pittsgrove, NJ, Centerton Grove in Pittsgrove, NJ, Bogey's in Pittman, NJ, Scotland Run in Williamstown, NJ, Smithville Village in Galloway, NJ, and Swan Lake in Galloway, NJ. I'm always adding to the list, though.
